Client was prosecuted for misrepresenting the geographic origin and varietal of grape juice and wine that his business sold. He sold over $2.5 million of wine that included in part misrepresented wine. The offense conduct occurred from 2012-2013 but the client was not indicted until 2016. Over the years the Client changed his career and his life. He was involved in significant volunteer work with his church and his community that convinced the Court not to send him to prison for the 18 months the government sought.
